Total Beginner

Hey Guys,
I just bought myself a sousaphone and I need some serious help. Everything from how to put it together, to emptying the spit valve, to things to practice and embrouchure help. I just wanna be able to blow up some ear drums!

Firstly, welcome to Tubenet.
Secondly, you may want to check Google for advice on how to begin playing, or go get yourself a private teacher. There will be somebody near where you live who can play the tuba well enough to teach a beginner how to play. Good luck.

Find a Tuba Christmas near you. You can learn the songs in a month or two and meet local people with a common interest. I did this three years and then joined a community band.
