Kindle question

Post by MaryAnn »

I just got a Kindle and am trying to register it. My Amazon password has capital letters as well as lower case, and I cannot figure out how to type a capital letter. Every thing I try for a shift key just wonks me out of the entire thing. So how do I type a capital letter on a Kindle keyboard?

With an on-screen keyboard? It should be like the Fire HDX that I have... on the keyboard, on the left side near the bottom, there is a keyboard key that looks like the outline of an "up" arrow. If you press it once, it activates the shift function. The up arrow will fill in to show it's engaged, and the next letter you type will be capitalized. After that one letter, you will be back to lowercase letters.

If you want caps lock, double-tap on that up arrow, and it'll stay filled in until you tap itagain.

Hope that helps!
