Hello:
I am performing the Wilhelm Concertino for Tuba with a University Band. The Director got a score for Band which includes euph and saxes.
I have the parts for the Wind Instruments version which includes:
2 flute
Picc
Clar in Eb
2 Clar in Bb Bass Clar
2 Oboe
Eng Horn
2 Bassoon
Contra Bassoon
3 trumpet
4 horn
3 bone
Tuba
Timp
Perc
I checked Tuba Source Book… Under tuba and piano, Wilhelm: Concertino, it mentions see for tuba and winds in the Tuba and Band section. In the Tuba and band section, no mention of tuba and winds, mentions tuba and band..
II also checked Program Notes for Tuba nothing was indicated about a band version.
The version I have is titled Concertino for Tuba and Wind Instruments
It is marked copyright 1990 by Strube Verlag Gmbh, Munchen
SO
my question is: anyone have the band version? If so, is it preferable to the Wind Instrument version? If you have any insight as to when the "Band" version was arranged, and for what occasion?
Thanks in advance

Re: Wilhelm Concertino: Band Version?
Scott,
I bought the band parts years ago and have played them with at least 3 different bands. I do have sax and euphonium parts. I don't know what the differences may be, but send me an email or call and we can talk.
