Found this on Walter Nirschl's Facebook page. Price is going up to 16,000 Euros next year.
Dear All,
especially to all my Tuba friends:
After many years I have to increase the price for the Meister Walter Nirschl York Model. The new price for the instrument will be 16.000,00 Euro net ex our factory here in Geretsried, Germany.
For all orders which are placed before June 30 2015, I keep the old price of 15.000,00 Euro.
all the best
Walter.

Re: SIAP Nirschl price increase
I have a student selling one for $18,000 .... ($16,570 euro). By the time you figure in shipping, and import duties or travel costs, it's seems like a wash. This instrument is in pretty much pristine condition and it has not been played very much. It has a case (Altheri) and heavy valve caps. It also has an extra 5th valve slide if you want a 2 tone (2+3) 5th valve.

What is SIAP?
Also, I haven't done the math, but the Euro was tanking pretty hard for a while. Seems to me like a 15,000 Euro at 2014 exchange rates was still more USD than 16,000 Euro at 2015 exchange rates.

I believe the approx. exchange rate now is +/- US $1.09 equals 1 Euro...

Re: SIAP Nirschl price increase
Ok... so 1 year ago, it was about $1.39 to 1 Euro.
2014 price: 15.000€ x $1.39 = $20,850
2015 price: 16.000€ x $1.09 = $17,440
Assuming that taxes, duty, shipping, etc. have remained about the same, you'd pay way less USD this year than last year. Still a lot of money, but a good time to buy if you're serious.
