Wayne does do great work at resonable rates. I just got back the Rat Helicon from him after three years. If you go there ask him about it - it's his favorite story. They can turn horns around quickly if need be. Horns I needed back right of way they have always been very quick to finish. Tell them what your needs are.TubaAS wrote:Tom,
Good luck with Wayne at the Brass Bow. He's a great technician, but he has an almost 2 year wait to get things done. If you don't mind waiting, it's well worth it.
They did a really nice job on this helicon which turns out to be a Holton made in Elkhorn WI. It has copper pistons and a main tuning slide that has a middle extension. This horn dates from 1921 and I'm assuming this extension is for low/high pitch. Anybody know for sure?
