All sane bell-front tubas have the bell collars at the level of the top bow. Besson did not want to rewrap their tubas, so they placed the collars way too low thereby causing a far too low set leadpipe plus huge vision problems for the player.

Of course, if we assume that the context is usually tuba + player, and that's what has to be esthetically pleasing ... maybe I should be looking for a bell front Besson.Watchman wrote:How do you see around the bell of that Besson??
