I'm sick, and drank half a cup of tea. You win.

But really, that does sound good!

Tonight on the deck - Blackened tilapia(on the grill) - rice pilaf - Mango salsa - home made strawberry ice cream. With a really nice and cheap crisp French Rose while I'm cooking.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

pulled pork

I lived in South Carolina for around twelve years, so I know what it is supposed to taste like. Someone at the Towson University food services (in Maryland) knows what they are doing.

Hope that turned out as good as it sounds. Tonight I was throwing some stuff together for dinner, and I remembered there was some retsina in the refrigerator so I treated myself to a small glass. And proceeded to have a little accident with the gas grill that singed my eyebrows and trimmed my mustache.

Tonight is grilled pork tenderloin (Memphis-style dry rub ) with baked sweet potato

On a side note - we decided to support a local 4H club by buying a 1/4 share of a steer... it tastes wonderful! but we can't have steak every night.

Tonight was homemade wood fired pizza. Well, not totally from scratch. I bought my favorite pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian meatballs, pepperoni, and added fresh mushrooms, green peppers and onion. Used the pizza stone on the grill and it was wonderful. Two Leinies while cooking it didn't hurt a bit.
