When Yuba plays the rumba on the tuba
i have been looking for a band arrangement of the piece, When Yuba plays the rumba on the tuba. I can't seem to find one since it's out of print. Does anyone have a copy that they would care to share? I have one that's tuba solo with piano accompaniment. I'm looking for tuba solo with band arrangement.

My New Horizons Band played a non-feature arrangement of it last year. I will try and find the publisher for you.

Re: When Yuba plays the rumba on the tuba
The arrangement done for Tom Shaffer doesn't have a copyright or publisher listed on the page. [I play in the DCCB. We have the piece in our folders now for a concert on June 14.]
You might try to contact the band librarian through the band webpage (link in my signature) to see about getting some more info about this.
Even if I knew the ins and outs of sharing music from one band to another, I am not the librarian so I don't have access to the score.

Re: When Yuba plays the rumba on the tuba
I contacted the librarian a while ago who sent me to the arranger. He sent me a copy for a fee. It wasn't too much, but there was a fee. I do have it electronically, but I do not feel it right to share it unless the band or arranger gives me permission.NCSUSousa wrote:The arrangement done for Tom Shaffer doesn't have a copyright or publisher listed on the page. Re: When Yuba plays the rumba on the tuba
That makes sense. I never heard how this was resolved last September after we exchanged PMs, so I didn't know about the arranger being the source for electronic copies.

Re: When Yuba plays the rumba on the tuba
I have sent an email to DCCB. That was about four days ago. I have not received any responses. Could either one of you put me in contact with the arranger or the librarian? I was hoping to do this during one of the concerts next month. Thank you for any help that you can offer.

I don't have the contact information anymore. I do remember it too a while for them to get back to me.
