Hi there,
I am interested in your 6/4 but I don't think I'm sending my Pm correctly.

A couple of people asked me about it, so here are the two horns side by side.

It's funny, in that photo, the 6/4 doesn't look all that big.

I've played one before, and I can assure anyone who is unsure... it really is a big (and fun) horn.

Dick Barth explained to me that the internal mechanism for the two horns are almost identical. Notable exception is the routing of the 5th valve tubing. The outer bows and bell obviously will be quite different.

The deception is not so much that the 6/4 is not larger, but the 4/4 itself is fairly plus sized (am I allowed to call it that)? Maybe a 4.5+/4. That's what makes it a good option for certain orchestra rep imho.

I'm driving through Chicago this weekend, wish I could stop by to try out the 4/4, but it would just be for my own enjoyment and education, and not to buy it.

Bump.

My resolve to not ship these horns in the CONUS is fading.

Price reduced to $5000 even.

Considering trade + cash deals for something in the 3050/Thor/PCK area as well.
