Help identifying a York Tuba

Post by opus37 »

I just picked up a York Tuba. It is 29 inches high and has a 15 inch bell. It has 3 top action valves. The bore of the second valve slide is 0.588 inches. The tuning slide has the W shape to it. It is too dirty to photograph. I will prove pictures later. The serial number is 144xx. So, from what I have described, is this an Eb or a BBb? (I know play it and find out). Any ideas on the model and age?

Sounds like the smaller 1906 Eb tuba with the 15" bell, built in High Pitch and modified to Low Pitch.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
