Sad news. I remember from the 1990's my several purchases from Woodwind and Brasswind, all of which were handled by Charlie. He was always a friendly and helpful guy.

My one Charlie Krause story...

Many years ago, I went to Baltimore Brass, rang the doorbell, and waited a few minutes. Was then buzzed in buy a hurried David Fedderly, who whispered to me he would be right with me. David went back in his office, and then abruptly but politely ended a phone conversation.

David looked at me and said, in the way that friends speak of other friends, "Charlie Krause -- talk for a minute, talk for an hour... those Texans..."

RIP Charlie.
