This tuba is in impeccable condition, no lacquer wear, no dents, recently chem cleaned. I keep my instruments in excellent condition. All the valves are quiet, no clanking, no clicking, all new bumpers. I bought new from Dillon Music when they ordered 8 of them. I had the pick of the litter. Of the 8 that came over, 7 of them sounded almost identical. This tuba was clearly superior to the rest of the batch. To this day, I have yet to play another a Firebird that creates as many overtones, or that has a more clear easy to produce sound.

I had Matt Walters at Dillon Music install a custom 1st valve slide kicker for the left hand fabricated by Miraphone specifically for this horn. Installed, it cost an extra $1,200. I also has all of the valves and slides hand finished for superior alignment, functionality and efficiency which was an additional $500. It comes with SoundWear Gig Bag $350.

All in all this horn would cost you $12,271.88 to purchase as is in MA. I am offering it at a considerable steal of a price. For $10,500

I have had consistent advancement success at auditions with this tuba.

It really is a special Firebird! You will not find one that plays this well anywhere.

Had a chance to play this horn on Thursday and it's pretty incredible! Highly recommend this horn to anyone looking as it's one of the best examples of this model around.

Spent some time with Michael playing this horn at Baltimore brass the other day. He has kept it in very good condition and the horn is playing really well. It has quick response, plays wonderfully in the low range without sounding woofy, and has a very clear voice up in the mid/upper range. The kicker is a good solution for a couple notes that need fine tuning. A versatile horn that will work well in auditions or any concert setting. Definitely a keeper and worth making an offer.

This tuba is very unique! I have tried some Firebirds and none of them feel like this horn!
I played this tuba a couple times when he brought it to the place I was playing. I got to play it
against my old 822 and there was a huge difference in between them. To me the quality of the sound
if this Firebird was just more alive than my 822. I hope this helps in my opinion this is a very unique Tuba
and I have to say mike sounds awesome with it. He has being finalist a to many auditions with this instrument.

I echo what others have already said above. This is a stellar example of a Firebird, and Michael always sounds fantastic on this horn. Someone will get a great instrument!

The case in the photo is my Accord flight case. This is not for sale.

The Firebird will come with a Soundwear soft case.
