I just added the following items to my 'for sale' page:
Conn 32K (BBb) sousaphone in silver... The satin silver plate is in great shape. I only had to remove a few minor dents and it appears that this sousa had a very easy life. The serial number is 309xxx indicating the horn was made in 1936. Valve and compression are excellent. Includes silver neck and bits. No case. SOLD!
Conn 'stencil' BBb sousaphone... This one is badged 'Wayman Keystone State, Phila' and is in satin silver plate. The plating is 95% on the body but the bell shows quite a bit of brass on the interior. The valve are in good shape and have good compression. The serial number is 234xxx for a manufacture date of 1926. Complete with silver neck and bits. No case. SOLD!
York/Conn BBb 4V tuba... (Confirmed and updated on 11/23)... This is the York/Conn that Paul Mayberry posted here a while back. It's a Grand Rapids York tuba. The serial number on the valve section (York) is 84xxx (1927 perhaps) with a Conn Eb bell that's 1915-ish. The bore is .762" and the bell is 20". The valves show some minor pitting but the compression is still good. Silver plated with a wonderful 'standing lady' in the extensive bell engraving. An aftermarket case is included. SOLD!
York Eb 3V silver tuba.... Serial number 32xxx for a manufacture date of 1906. 19 1/2" bell and a .660" bore. Doesn't appear to have ever had any serious damage... just some minor dent removal. SOLD!
Images available upon request.

Re: Just Listed Some Stuff
Note the edit to the original post indicating that this is a Grand Rapids York with a Conn Eb bell.

Same horn. Without the rotor.GregTuba79 wrote:Yes, is the bore at the valve section also .762? Did this horn used to have a 5th rotor valve when Paul owned it or is it another silver York? Did you see the photos I sent you in e-mail Dan?

Re: Just Listed Some Stuff
This is the same horn. I drove a van load of horns and parts to Dan last week for him to work on and turn around for folks to get some more mileage from. I had so much stuff in the garage and it was never going to get worked on. I had tacked on a rotor several years ago. I'm not sure it needed it, but sometimes when you "can" do something, you "do" do it. Dan was able to spend much more time on the tuba than I had and smoothed out some of the features and according to him it plays "really well." He did remove the rotor and that does open the horn up a bit. The bell on it is remarkable. The engraving is representative of the Panama Pacific Exposition from circa 1915. It is however a Conn bell from a huge EEb. I used the tuba in the Rochester (MN) Concert Band for several seasons and it could hold its own with serious gravitas. So when Dan says it plays well, it must play even better after his magical touch. I will be happy when some of these find good homes.

Re: Some Stuff Sold. Still Have a Sousa.
Sorry... the 32K has been sold. However.... I will be offering a 38K in a few weeks. The valve section is at Anderson at the moment.
