Two 'CC' tubas needed in Chicago area

Post by Rick F »

A good friend of mine, Mark Humphreys (Director of Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches), urgently needs to borrow or rent two CC tubas in the Chicago area. These tubas are needed for a visiting wind ensemble who will be performing at the Midwest Clinic and also at Elgin Community College (Dec 14-17, 2015). This International group is unable to transport these large instruments, but the players are known to be very meticulous and careful with their horns. Their personal horns are Besson Sovereign and B&S 3198-L (both piston type). However, any CC tuba would be appreciated — for loan or rent.

If you think you could help or suggest anyone we could contact to help us, please PM me. Thank you.

Maybe try contacting Music and Arts in Itasca and see if they can rent you a few.
