I'd like to purchase the tuba part for Shostakovich 5, where do I go?

You go to ebay and hope someone will sell you either the Shostakovich volume of the Torchinsky series or the 20th-Centery Orchestral Studies, edited also by Torchinsky (which I'm pretty sure has big chunks of the Shosty 5, at least--I'm going on memory). Those were published before subsequent copyright agreements between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, so while they are not available new, they are available used.

Bring your checkbook. Both are now rare on the market and fetch good prices.

There are other ways, but none that anyone will advocate on a public forum. Part of the entry fee for those methods is figuring them out discreetly.

As far as I know, the parts are available by rental only, from Schirmer.
