I'd like to purchase the tuba part for Shostakovich 5, where do I go?

Re: orchestral sheet music
You go to ebay and hope someone will sell you either the Shostakovich volume of the Torchinsky series or the 20th-Centery Orchestral Studies, edited also by Torchinsky (which I'm pretty sure has big chunks of the Shosty 5, at least--I'm going on memory). Those were published before subsequent copyright agreements between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, so while they are not available new, they are available used.Chris wrote:I'd like to purchase the tuba part for Shostakovich 5, where do I go?
Bring your checkbook. Both are now rare on the market and fetch good prices.
There are other ways, but none that anyone will advocate on a public forum. Part of the entry fee for those methods is figuring them out discreetly.
As far as I know, the parts are available by rental only, from Schirmer.
