Look in the right place, and you'll find what you want to find. In the west, you have to look harder, because post Rennaissance western culture is less accepting of religious terrorism....
Thanks for reinforcing my point.

Hmm...I believe the longest running thread in TubeNet history has run seriously off the rails!

I'm not going to be able to play at our Capitol Carols tomorrow for the first time in years because severe left knee pain prevents me from schlepping a tuba up and down flights of stairs. :( Maybe I'll be ready next year after my orthopedist and physical therapist have recommended and we've carried out the best course of action regarding the knee.

yep.

To share poli-memes that do not base they main points on lies, misrepresentations, or stuff-manufactured-from-whole-cloth, only share libertarian memes.

exactly. ' time for another 1.6 billion folks (or at least a significant percentage who - when polled - say that terrorism is "sometimes justified") to come along and embrace tolerance. Those who cannot tolerate are...well...intolerable.

I've had a brand-new Toshiba laptop sitting here for two months now but I'm still using my old Toshiba because I just don't like the looks of Windows 10.

I just hate having to move all of my stuff to the new machine!

Dan,
I loaded W-10 last night on the recommendation of a savvy friend. He said they took the best of 8.1 as the basis for 10 and removed some of the silly stuff at the same time. After a couple hours of my time, I have it pretty much looking/working as it was with 8.1, yet is now another generation removed from obsolescence! I would suggest you NOT make Microsoft Edge your browser--just be careful which boxes you check or un-check on the install! You would then do as I had to do, which is go back into the settings and again make IE 11 my default browser. I can see where there might be a couple useful things associated with W-10, but I don't need to worry about how to do them until I feel the need. :D

In the 80's I was manufacturing a few accessories for Corvettes and did the show in the McCormick Annex twice a year. I usually stayed in the hotel that is adjacent to that place. ... don't remember the name. Prior to staying in that place I would just go to a Red Roof Inn or wherever was cheap. Of course that meant walking to the annex parking lot under the bridges by the ballpark late at night to get my car. The closest I ever came to shooting a guy was when someone approached me asking for a light! I don't care much for Chicago these days.

There used to be a hot-dog stand near McCormick Place that was the greatest.
