Homebrew (a porter we just made last month). Very good, but needs more time to age and come together.

A recently discovered drink: Canchancharra. Also described as a "rustic mojito". Good rum, fresh mint, fresh lime, a small amount of simple syrup (about 1/3 of what all the mojito recipes call for), club soda and a peeled piece of sugar cane. Very refreshing!

Yesterday in Pittsburgh I went to the Chrch Brew Works and had a flight of 8 of their beers. Like their Thunder Hop and Pipe Organ Ales.

For dinner we went to the HOFBRAU HAUS and since I had a lot to drink earlier, I got a Rachler which was a mixed drink of beer and lemonade, very tasty!

A new, to me, IPA: Hop Box IPA. This is made locally by the Joseph James Brewing Company of Henderson, NV. 9.3% alcohol and damned tasty. A nice way to spend some time on a Sunday in The Meadows.

In Baltimore, a mix of iced tea and lemonade is called a "half and half." I had never heard it called an "Arnold Palmer" until a few years ago.

My wife and I were in Indianapolis a few years ago, and tried to get an iced coffee at a coffee shop. They had never heard of it, and had no clue. They were ready to pour hot coffee into a plastic cup full of ice before we told them to just forget about it!
