*SOLD*Alexander 163 5 valve CC (from 70s?) PRICE reduced
Hi, all.
I am selling my Alexander 163 CC. I bought it about 14 months ago from Baltimore Brass. Five valves, fifth is a two whole step. No lacquer, a few dents on the bottom bow, but most importantly the bell has NOT been damaged ever. Valves have excellent compression.
I am going to stop with my description (in this post), since I usually get logged out by the time I finish typing... More in another entry.
Asking $5750.00.
Includes the gig bag it came with and two new Alex 163 leadpipes and receivers that need to be bent by a competent repair technician.
Please email me at bttmbow@yahoo.com" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank
Thanks, Chris Hall
P.S. More info later, including pics, which I'll have my tech friend help me post

Also, the only reason I am selling it is because I'm buying back my old Alex F.

Argh... about a year too late! This time last year I was both in NYC and looking for a different rotary CC tuba.
I would have loved to have this one.

Re: Alexander 163 5 valve CC (from 70s?)
Chris, I remember that Alex from when it was for sale at BBC. I bought the old Alex BBb that was there at the same time.
I've passed this on to one of my section-mates. Where is the tuba located?

Re: Alexander 163 5 valve CC (from 70s?)
Still for sale.
Fifth valve has been changed to flat whole step length, same routing as before, but without the extra tubing. (Extra tubing and braces included, if you want to change it back.) only original parts used.
Thanks!
