Kanstul is working on a suitcase tuba, Howard Miyata has been testing the prototype for a while. Some problems still need to be worked out. Not carry-on, but still within regulations for normal checked baggage. It has a detachable bell and special foam packing, about 3/4 size BBb.

Oystein Baadsvik has had a miraphone that he can take apart and put in his luggage for years. It is a special make, but they have the expertise to do it. Of course the travel tubas are the stars at easy pack up and travel. They have their issues too.
