FRAUD WARNING !!!

Post by Greg Lecewicz »

There are a lot of for sale posts in Chicago area showing brand new or renovated instruments for 2000 dollars. I had responded to some of them. No reply for a long time and today here is a wonderful message saying : Yes the tuba is still available but I took it to Poland cause I had to leave on an emergency. The guy says: I will ship it to you at my cost thru some escrow company. I had an exactly the same message 2 years ago and it must have been the same con artist , same wordage just a different name. This time he calls himself Adam Bartel from Gdansk, Poland. Just to have some fun I've replied to it as if I'd like to go ahead with the purchase. I will post his reply for your entertainment and at the end I will post his email hoping he will get some stiff messages from you tuba hulks.

I've asked him where he studied tuba. He replied- in London but he is now in his home town Gdansk in Poland. I told him I'll send somebody right at this minute to pay him cash and pick up the tuba cause I have a lot of friends in Gdansk and around. He didn't reply. How strange, hahaha. If he writes back I'll talk to him in Polish.

It's can be funny to play along with the scammers.

Ever get a call from "the IRS" (usually with a thick Indian accent) saying that you have to pay some penalty fee immediately or be arrested? Happened to me once, I told them to bring it on, come and arrest me! They said "wouldn't you rather pay the penalty?" I said nope, I want jail, please -- then THEY hung up. :!:

There are some hilarious youtube videos of people messing with Indian scammers. You should check them out.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Just a few days ago I went through my spam and found that I had won millions of pounds in a lottery in which my email address was entered without my knowledge. All I had to do was give them all my personal information plus my bank account routing number in order to receive the dough. Such a gonga! I told my ex-husband and he said if I use his bank account he'll split it with me (we share a sense of humor.)
