I looked it up, herbal remedy is "latex of Sodom".
But I doubt that it has anything to do with an old mouthpiece. The risk of contacting leprosy is one good reason not to be fooling around with armadillos.

If the silver plating on the mouthpiece is intact, then you had about as much a chance of contracting leprosy off the mouthpiece as a churchman contracting the flu off a chalice - zero.
Since leprosy is a bacteriological illness, is there anything you need to discuss otherwise? As in the biblical causes of leprosy? We would all hate it if the cause was a "leprous house."
