Giddings and Webster shank help
So i play on primarily a giddings and webster Alan Baer CC tuba mouthpiece. I have a slight issue with mine. My shank over time has become bent and is not really too much of a circular shank anymore. How would you straighten out the shanks of a stainless steel mouthpiece? Also, does a slightly bent shank end affect the sound any? Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't advise learning to use it on a G&W, though. And your repair guy has one and has already learned to use it, and won't charge much if anything to take care of it.

That's the thing. I've tried the trueing tool, but it didn't as so much as bend the shank at all. I don't know if the repairman was inadequate or not, but is there any other way to bend the shank back?Michael Bush wrote:http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEG-Mouthpiece- ... SwWTRWwe7q
