MW 3450-L "Sassy" 4/4 CC tuba for sale *SOLD*

Post by Craig Knox »

Hello TubeNetters,

*The horn is SOLD* Thanks everyone for your inquiries.

I am selling my Meinl Weston 3450 “Sassy” 4/4 lacquer CC tuba. This is a 5-valve instrument with 4 piston vales and rotor 5th valve. It's a great all-around 4/4 size CC tuba, perfect for someone who wants to own a single instrument, or for someone with a large tuba who would like to add a smaller CC tuba for chamber or solo playing.

I purchased this instrument new from Dillon Music about two years ago, and I have been the only owner. I am happy to send photos on request for serious inquiries, but in the meantime, if you want to know what this tuba looks like, check the Meinl Weston website, http://www.melton-meinl-weston.com/orch ... -3450.html. This instrument is in near-perfect condition. I can find one small ding on the third-valve slide, and a few wispy superficial scratches to the surface of the lacquer on the rear of the instrument (from shirt buttons). Otherwise, it looks like it's right out of the box.

Speaking of boxes, I have the original shipping container from Dillon's, so I can ship this instrument anywhere in the U.S.. Buyer pays shipping.

Comes with original Melton Meinl Weston gig-bag. These horns are available new from retailers for $10,000 and up. This like-new instrument is offered at $7,900.

Please contact me at cknox@pittsburghsymphony.org" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank if you're interested.

Thanks.
