Post by jimgray »

Hi all-

I have a great old (30s?) 3v/top Martin for sale.
Classic sound, sorry to part w her, just not getting quite enough action these days.

I always get a really positive response on gigs w this horn.
Really fills the room, wall of sound, nothing quite like it...
She needs nothing - ready for your next trad gig.
I've dropped the price from $2,000 to $1,500, but won't go lower.

We are in Boston.

thanks for looking-
-Jim

These are simply wonderful horns and this is a steal for the price listed. The 1930s top-action 3 valve Martins are very consistent having great pitch, tone and ergonomics. You won't miss the 4th valve due to the great false tones. Great for concert band, trad jazz, etc. And THE tuba if you want to generate a sound closer to a string bass. I've never played this particular horn but I've played many and never found a bad one.

thanks, Paul-
These are great horns, this is a good one, and $1,500 is my rock-bottom price.

Here are a few more pics-
