I own one of these, it's a really sweet little horn. Size comparison with a York 4/4 BBb:

American sailboats, airplanes, banjos, guitars and flutes ...
Italian motorcycles and cars ...
German cameras and tubas ...

Yours seems to have quite a different valve layout, though, with a much longer leadpipe. The main tuning slide here seems to be the little loop behind the third valve loop, but I can't say I see that for sure.

I love the helicons with the short, stubby bells!
Jordan
King 2341 with a Holton "Monster" Eb bell
Eb Frankentuba
Martin Medium Eb Helicon

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving's probably not for you.

I kinda figured bigtubby's picture is of a BBb while the craigslist post is of an Eb. That would account for the differences in valve loops, leadpipe length and bell length. I just was puzzled to see the full wrap on an Eb rather than the common faux pipe to rest on the shoulder.

So much i don't know...
Thanks for playing!

I suppose the "stubby" wrap helps, and maybe an unusually compact main tuning slide. But full wrap is not uncommon. Cerveny's Eb is that way, and an early Conn model I believe.

For some reason, what i am viewing the page on cuts off half the Eb helicon, so i assumed tje important one was in frame. Now i know that is happening, i can fix it enough to see more of the Eb.

Nevermind me.
