Greetings Tubenet,
As the subject indicates, I am putting my silver plated Thor up for sale. I purchased this horn new in 2011 from Woodwind and Brasswind. I've used this horn to solo with an orchestra, play in quintet on many occasions, and in every wind ensemble and orchestra I've played with since 2011. It has served me very well, but it's time for me to move to something different.
This horn is in fantastic shape and was professionally cleaned two weeks ago. It's been sitting in an MTS case since then. The silver plating is completely intact and there are only two small dings on the entire horn (see photos). The bottom bow shows some scratching due to a soft case I previously used (also see photo). Bell is clean. This is a small bell Thor.
PVAK installed, and made a HUGE difference in the way this horn plays.
Includes:
MTS hard case
Used Chronkite gig bag, if interested
Asking $10,000
Not interested in trades. This horn is priced to sell, as I need the funds to invest in another instrument. Horn is located in Southwest Michigan and I will drive a reasonable distance to meet an interested buyer. Otherwise, buyer pays shipping (I would prefer to meet for horn safety, but that's up to the buyer). Feel free to get in touch via PM or email to try out the horn.

Hello
My son,Michael, is a student of Scott Tegge in Chicago. We are interested in the tuba you are selling. This would be my son's first tuba. We would love to see the tuba so Michael can play it to see if it is a good match for him. If he does decide that this the right tuba, we are able to purchase at that time. Can you please let us know if the tuba is available and if it would be possible for my son to try it out? We live in a south suburb of Chicago. We are traveling to Michigan to Blue Lake Apr 16th but I know that may too far out. Please let us know what works for you
Thanks
Karen Witt

Did it go to the kid getting his first tuba?
