SOLD B&S PT-6 Silver

Post by KyleRichter »

Putting up my silver PT6 (rotors) for sale. Going to take current pictures of it tonight, but had the time to make the post now.

The horn plays great, extremely even sound, next to no slide pulling for any pitches. Norm Pearson highly recommended me get this horn as it's likely one of the best PT6's that he's played. There is some evidence of repair work I've had done to the horn, hence the lower price

Horn is located in Long Beach, California, and can be shipped at the expense of the buyer. Comes with a B&S dark blue super-sac gig bag.

Even better horn... Mr. Richter bought this from me a while ago; it's a very good PT6. Condition isn't/wasn't(?) great, but the silver hides most of the uglies.

Does this still have the long 5th valve slide? That gave the horn a very nice feel in the low register.

This horn does still have the extender for the 5th valve slide (2 step). I preferred it over the flat whole step setup, but the slides are very easily switched around to accommodate either preference.

A friend has been borrowing the horn for a couple weeks, so I'm waiting on him to send me pictures of the horn and I should have them up here by some time tonight.

Here's a link to a few pictures of the horn and case. Sorry for the delay in getting them up!

It's not terribly easy to see, but the 5th valve slide is the slide directly behind the rotors valves. The extender is currently on it, so you can see the bottom of the slide poking out of the bottom (directly below the 4th rotor paddle).

Wow, can't believe this is still for sale. It's a steal!

BTW, I totally forgot about the B&S 5th valve extenders! I played a PT-3 in college that had one of those... it's a monstrously LONG slide, but is completely out of sight when it's installed.

This.

If you're in the market for a PT-6, you are more than likely not going to find a better one and more than likely will not find one priced this low.

Bumpppp. Had a good amount of seemingly interested buyers, but no takers yet. Shoot me a message or email if you've got any questions about the horn! It's a fantastic PT6, and is being wasted on me currently since I've got two C's.
