I'll take it! It applies to people that own a plastic tuba.goodgigs wrote:Well since "resident genius" is already taken, who gets to be the official "village idiot" ?

What about just "resident"!?
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Re: Want a custom title?
When did I become a "trashy old truck driver"?
Granted, it's better than "resident genius," which was also bestowed upon me without the option, but "trashy old truck driver" is no closer to the truth.
Wayne is a truck driver, but he is not trashy, so this couldn't have been intended for him. I am not a truck driver.

I wonder some former moderator from Amarillo who might still have access to moderator privileges might have been playing a joke on somebody . . .58mark wrote:I saw that the other day and wasn't sure how it wound up on your account. I thought maybe you asked Farah for it?
I'll change it back to your old one, and if you think of something you want better, let us know

I am sorely tempted to say "A big mouth and a lot of hot air." But I think I'll stick with the default.

How about:
Once got the "hand" as a cue
(and true, that's when I knew I could hold my own as an orchestral player)

Re: Want a custom title?
Throughout all my playing days, in every ensemble I have been in, from garage band to school ensembles to community band, with a few others thrown in for good measure, somehow I always ended up playing what was missing, or what nobody else wanted to play. This includes this season in community band: no euphs, so I went out and purchased an old King bell-front like I played the summer I got "band camper of the year" from the regional university when I was in high school playing trumpet in the same situation - more than twenty trumpet players signed up, but no euphs.
So, just having finished a stint on double bass with a local jazz/dance band, and finished tuba in one community band, now euph in another, trumpet in a fraternal organization band playing tomorrow at the local Memorial Day observances at the nearby national cemetary, bass guitar in my party band this summer, and occasionally called to lead church camp music on my J-45, and those are just the current gigs;
I would like to change my title to "Utility Infielder." Thanks.
