Middle Schools & High Schools in Atlanta

I have a student who will be an 8th grader next year whose family is moving to Atlanta proper, not a suburb. For those of you in the area, what are the middle schools and high schools in Atlanta with good band programs? I am aware that in general inner city band programs are notoriously lacking in quality. I just want to get his parents some good info on where the good bands/schools are, and possibly those to avoid. Thanks in advance for the info.

Dickerson Middle in Cobb county(or just about any school in cobb county) has a fabulous program. Of the high schools, Lassiter, Pope, and Kennesaw Mountain have great programs, and these aren't the only ones.

I do appreciate the info on the burbs. I have seen these bands march. I saw Kennesaw Mountain at BOA Grand Nationals two years ago and it was one of the best performances I have ever seen.
