My name is Joe Muro, and I am very interested in the new miraphone f you are playing. I will be in attendence at your recital in North Hollywood on the 11th. I am wondering if I might be able to play a few notes in the horn if you wouldnt mind. I am going to WWBW and Custom at the end of this month and I have heard great things about that tuba. I look forward to hearing you at the recital. Please let me know if this is at all possible. Thank you. -Joe

My guess is that Alan will be playing much of the recital on that tuba. And on his G&W mouthpieces as well. I plan on attending as well. If I don't get killed by my ganster neighbors, I'll see you there.

Miraphone F

Post by Alan Baer »

Hi,
I will be playing the Miraphone F at the recital, and there probably will be a few minutes afterwards that a few people will probably want to use to try the horn. Just as a note, if your going to Brass Wind and Custom at the end of the month,
they will not have this horn. Save your ticket until Brasswind gets their shipment in. This is the only horn like this of it's kind. There has been a major redo of the 6th 5th and 1st slide area as compared to the 181 F tuba.
This allowed us to get the G 1st valve in tune as well as having plenty of slide pull to get the D and A 1-2 in tune.
This is a keeper, it's well worth the wait and can't seem to put it down..
See you in Los Angeles..

Where is this recital taking place? I think this one might be worth the two hour drive.
