Ever since "American Pie" (the movie), most band directors are proabably requiring most kids to keep their flutes at home.Chuck(G) wrote:Sounds like they left the flutes and piccolos too...
Seriously, when I was in band, flautists did not get their own lockers, mainly because the director felt that they didn't need one. Oh, and we didn't have room for the trumpets and saxes hardly either.

And yet, they took the oboes (at least I assume so, otherwise, Joe woiuld've said "bassoons"--unless the band has a bunch of sarrusophones squirreled away).Matthew Gilchrest wrote: Ever since "American Pie" (the movie), most band directors are proabably requiring most kids to keep their flutes at home.

Other than a piccolo, I can't think of many in-the-case instruments smaller than an oboe.
