Hello all,
I want to find an F tuba mouthpiece with a rim shape closer to my current CC tuba mouthpiece. I'm using a Stofer Geib CC Tuba mouthpiece (33.00mm opening, narrow but rounded rim shape). My current F tuba mouthpiece is a Miraphone Rose Solo TU27 (33.00mm opening, wide cushy rim). I'm considering buying another Stofer Geib mouthpiece and cutting the rim off to put on the Miraphone Rose Solo. This could be an expensive experiment if it doesn't work. I'm just looking to see if there's anything out there that may be close to what I'm looking for before I start chopping up Mouthpieces. All suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Ideal F tuba mouthpiece 33.00mm+ opening with a narrow round rim.
Many thanks,
JC

Give Joe a call. He likely can put together a mouthpiece from his components that will meet your requirements.

Sounds like you would like a Sellmansberger #2 profile with internal diameter of your choice.
A Solo cup is a great bass tuba match and you can add your choice (choices!) of shank.

Re: F tuba MP Suggestions
I was just looking at my old Dillon F1B, which seems about like that - rim seems round and of a normal narrow width to me, 33mm internal diameter, fairly shallow depth. But I wouldn't bet my life you'd like it at all. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but so much depends on the details, like backbore etc.
