MTS case for comp Eb?

Post by AHynds »

Hello, everyone!

Does anyone out there know what size of MTS case would be the best first for a compensating Eb tuba (in this case, a Besson 981 with a slightly smaller/shorter replacement bell)? Quoting from hornguys.com, here are the sizes:
1205V Small: fits 3/4 student tubas and the Miraphone 1281
1204V Medium F: Similar to 1207V, but narrower for a tight fit. Instrument fit is unknown
1207V Medium: fits tubas about 36" in length like King, York 4/4, Kanstul 4/4, Miraphone 1291, 1292, 1293, 291
1209V Large: Fits 40" long tubas like Miraphone 186, MW 25, Yamaha 641, Alexander 163
1208V Large 5/4: Instrument fit is unknown
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

You need a MTS 1203V or a Winter JW 2093.
