SOLD: Either One of Two Eb Tubas

Post by Michael Bush »

I have two Eb tubas, and only want one. Here are both. I'll keep the one that doesn't sell first.

FIRST OPTION: ACCORD 3-VALVE
Wanting to learn Eb, I bought this tuba as a low-cost way to stick my toe in the water. It has been great for that. No one is ever going to mistake it for a great instrument, but it is a practical, very usable, low-cost option.

There was (FedEx) damage to the bell when I received it, but it has been very well repaired and you have to know it was there to find evidence of it. Also the first valve was a bit sticky when I got it due to a problematic valve guide. I replaced the springs as well. The valves all work properly now.

It comes with the original case and mouthpiece.

Currently on Ebay here. The BIN is $500.00

SECOND OPTION: 4-VALVE MARTIN USN
I bought this recently. I've had a couple of hundred dollars worth of work done on it: all the tuning slides move freely, and a leak was repaired in #2; the valves have new felts and are correctly aligned; some dents have been removed.

Recent pictures are here.

A discussion of the tuba's provenance is here.

What's the price on the first option?
Jordan
King 2341 with a Holton "Monster" Eb bell
Eb Frankentuba
Martin Medium Eb Helicon

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving's probably not for you.

The Martin is sold pending payment. In view of the fact that a small CC I ordered some time back is now on the bus headed to me, I'm open to going ahead and selling the Accord as well.
