Munich Germany Where to play tubas

Hi,

Anybody know where to try different kind of tubas (test playing !) when visiting in Munich, Germany ?

In Puchheim there seems to be prof. Tucci´s shop Hornboerse and trains seem to go there nicely from centrum of Munich.

Any other music shops where to test-play tubas in Munich ? I would be especially interested to check B&S F-tubas but also other.

Casa Tucci is a must for you to visit. Nirschl's factory is just down the tracks in Geretsried (sp?) and Rudolf Meinl is not too far away in Diespech am Aisch to the north. It would be best to make contact with each before making a visit.

Meinl-Weston (aka: Melton) is also in Geretsried. Definitely worth the trip!

The best place to play tuba in Munich: The Hofbräuhaus, of course !
Theresienwiese is also quite nice this time of the year

Mr. Tucci is a wealth of information. He can tell you every tuba related thing in Germany. I think at this point, you need to make an appointment to go to his shop. I'd recommend taking a lesson with him if time permits.
