I tried one of these before (not BBruce107's tuba) and I was impressed by how light, quick, and smooth the piston valves are. I can't make any claims about consistency between instruments, but the one I tried had very nice pistons.

One other thing that doesn't translate in these photos -- this is a HUGE tuba. Fun stuff! :tuba:

Agreed bort! this horn really is huge but is so nimble for being a 6/4 tuba. My teacher Randy Westmoreland of the Saginaw Bay Symphony played the horn and was quite impressed at the sound and the ease of playing compared to his pt6p with the MAW valves. this horn does not have MAW valves but really blows. I really like this instrument but prefer rotary valve setups.

BUMP. These tubas are great horns people! I've played this model and watched a pro play the YamaYork. The intonation tendencies are about the same folks, so grab it while it's here!
