Borescope

Post by roweenie »

Any recommendations (based on personal experience) on an inexpensive, yet adequate, borescope?

So, other than the inflexible head, you like it?

That one looks like it would be well suited for looking into engine cylinders, or even for doing valve alignments, but the length of the scope would be somewhat limiting for other applications.

Ah, i get it: You want to evaluate a cylindrical opening.
My first association was something in the line of an "Applause-o-meter".

I use a BlueFire boriscope I picked up from Amazon that hooks up to my phone/computer. $22 for a 16' scope:

Does it go around corners, like a knuckle in 11/16" tubing?

I browsed around among the options presented on that Amazon site, and the cameras all looked narrow but long - I don't know, no one mentioned that dimension, but well over an inch.
