Cervey 5/4 BBb
I was wondering if these where made of thin or thicker metal.i heard on today and the tone spread was horrible when it got to around the FFF. it looked like it was about ten or fifteen years or at the least. Just curios if anyone knew about them.

Re: Cervey 5/4 BBb
Cervenys have always been known for fairly thin, soft brass. It dents easily, but I'm not sure what other effects that might have. I could make the tone spread on mine at mf, but during a lesson with Mike Sanders (which was 20 years ago), he played and I fear for my hearing, with that lovely solid sound he has. Take that for what it's worth.josh wagner wrote:I was wondering if these where made of thin or thicker metal.i heard on today and the tone spread was horrible when it got to around the FFF. it looked like it was about ten or fifteen years or at the least.
