Fiberglass Sousaphone ID

Post by BramJ »

I got this fiberglass sousaphone (with some added yellow paint) from a band I joined this year. It was hanging on the ceiling in a bar for the past decade because they didn't have anyone to play it. Just got all the sludge, dust and confetti out of it and got the valves working nicely again. But I was wondering what brand/type of sousaphone it is... can you guys help me out?
If I need parts in the future I at least know in what direction to look

All I can find is the serialnumber stamped on the 3rd valve casing: GE600099
all the valves have E6099 stamped on the top

It was probably purchased at Adams years ago with a nice discount, hence the Adams logo on it

Looks like the 3rd valve button was replaced at some point

Thanks for the info!
The lacquer is terrible indeed... some just fell off when I was cleaning it

also, those lines on the valve stems, are they supposed to line up with the top of the cap? the 3rd valve is a bit lower then the others
It did receive some damage in the past I guess, completely removing the main tuning slide is pretty hard because it hits the tube going in the fiberglass part
