Gronitz Musikhof PCM 5/4

Post by tuba.luke95 »

Hello everyone!
I was hoping to get some info on the Gronitz Musikhof PCM 5/4. I have heard some good things about gronitz, so I guess 1) how is the horn? Intonation, low range, high range, general sound and 2) does anyone know where someone might try out this horn other than Germany?

Hi, ask Kyle Turner about it.

I'm no Kyle Turner, but I test played two PCM's in the San Jose area and really liked them a lot. While the sound isn't as 'big' as on a PCK, it was ergonomically far more comfortable. I thought it was a really good 'all-around' 5/4 size CC tuba. Well worth considering, I think.

Thanks for the input! I currently play a PT-6P. It's a fantastic horn, but it was a birthday gift for my 18th birthday from my dad. I never got the chance to play im any horns to really try them out, so I just interested in seeing if there is a horn that will match me better since I didn't get the opportunity to try a few out. If that makes sense. So I'm looking into a few horns that I've heard great things about
