Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

It's just another number. At least that's what I tell myself with 6 weeks to go to my magic "endswithazero" birthday.bloke wrote:On a day that occurs quite soon, I will be an age - yet again - that ends with a zero.

Whoa! I just posted a moment ago, when it was 8:09 PM. The message says it was posted at 6:49 PM. Is this just age going backward or is there a software glitch with the site?

Re: Update Update
I attended my grandson's (just turned 13, 7th grade) concert last night. It was a little different for me though. They called it on the program a "Cluster Concert." Two middle school bands and the high school band all together, playing the same music. There may have been close to four hundred kids (maybe more) down there on the high school gym floor.
They played medleys of pop music from four decades: 50s,60s,70s and 80s. Different conductor for each decade. Before the 80s, the high school marching band members stood up and played through their marching program. That explained the four sousaphones standing behind the other 10 or so tubas. The 70s included "YMCA"; some members of the audience did the gestures that go with that.
I was able to count 22 euphoniums, 10 tubas + 4 sousaphones, 39 trombones and about 40 flutes, which is what my grandson plays. On the program they listed the members of the bands. I counted 45 names in one column for the high school band and there were four columns of names. For me that was an awful lot of kids playing music at one time, although I have seen massed drum corps, but that is on a drum corps stadium.
