All ads are required to have the following information: Price (even for trades), brand, model, and location (City and State, for instruments, not accessories). It is acceptable to link to an external ad if you are promoting a sale of your personal equipment. No Ebay auctions, but "Buy It Now" listings are fine. Photos are HIGHLY suggested as well, and may be hosted on Google Drive, or elsewhere. If you see an ad that does not meet these criteria, please report it.
I received a gold Wessex Chief mouthpiece with my horn. I really prefer my Houser mouthpiece and I don't want to hang on to it for no reason. Wessex says "The Wessex Chief mouthpiece is the first faithful replica of the original Chief mouthpiece made by Conn in the 1920’s."

I used a Helleberg "Chief" frequently on an old prototype Miraphone 188 I owned two decades ago. I'd hang on to it, because they're good for 'blast-tissimo' gigs where the band or the conductor simply can't get enough tuba: outdoor gigs, or ones where you're playing tons of low register stuff. I used it on Oktoberfest gigs that would go on for hours. Blasting "1812" outdoors would be another prime situation, as long as you can keep the upper mid-register notes reasonably up to pitch. And who hasn't done "Stars & Stripes" outdoors really loud, with power-crazed trombone players and less than shy percussionists! I even had the throat bored out a bit.
My chops swell as the day goes on, so wider mouthpieces work well for me.
