FS: Kanstul 900-4B 5/4BBb Laq SOLD***

Post by tubaplyer »

Dear All,

I am selling my Kanstul horn. It is in very good shape, no lacquer wear, only a few tiny dings on the bottom bow. I have tried to photo all. It is an awesome horn and easy to blow. It comes with a new reunion blues gig bag, black codura with black leather handles, and a hard case.

It is a big tuba. i believe it is classified as a 5/4. it is not a small horn by any means. I have used it in community band and orchestra being the sole tuba. It is enough horn but has the capacity to do what ever you need.

Cool... looks like a neat instrument, and that's a good price for a LOT of tuba. Good luck!

Accepting offers and very flexible on delivery. Did I mention it has a hard case and a new reunion blues gig bag?

Lee Stofer wrote: If you can find a Kanstul 900/4B, it is like buying a new Martin Mammoth that, if anything, plays a little better in tune than the original. I could probably order a new one for you at a good price, as the last time I checked, they were priced closer to the price of a BMB BBb. I owned and played a 900/4B back when I was in Atlanta and used it for a number of gigs. You'll not find a more agile, sweet-playing 6/44 BBb than the Kanstul 900/4B.

Thank you mshores for those kind words from Lee Stofer.
I should probably mention, this horn has new springs and pads for a great valve feel special ordered from Lee Stofer. I have the original springs as well if interested.

That looks like a cool thing!!

Would it have made sense to have put it on a bus to Baltimore to be consigned??

I can fly to Dallas for $100 and drop it off for less than what shipping would be. Are you in Mesquite?
