Yamaha Custom CC 5th Valve

Post by Ian1 »

Hi,

How do Yamaha Custom 822 CC players like to have the 5th valve set up?

Hi,

I only use the big whole step setup. It came with an extension to make it a miraphone style two step instrument but I never use that. Mainly because I don't like to learn the new fingerings I have to confess.

Thanks, yes the extension seems pretty unneeded (for me anyway)

Thoughts on the tuba??

I'm close to buying one...

Many thanks.

I like it obviously, I think it's a very good instrument, no complaints at all. I use it for dixieland and other small ensembles and also thought it worked very well in the wind band. I bought it used and the price was just right then.

I bought it. Superb CC, easy to blow, in tune.

What's the best fit gig bag for one?

Thanks.

Congratulations!

I use a supersac gig bag not made for this tuba, it was for pt6, or one made for a pt20, both are not a perfect fit but both work. Very light and comfortable to carry. Not much padding though.
