^ That's my timeline too, although I'm far from 60. I thought it was awesome to be in college for about 2 months as a 17-year old. I used to joke if I needed permission slips for events and trips.
What's wacky is that one of my nephews has a birthday in mid-September, which is beyond the cutoff date so he had to wait another whole year to start 1st grade. What a bunch of arbitrary crap. He looks like an absolute giant compared to the rest of his class!
