Can you Identify this 1920's Holton Eb?
I came across this Holton Eb. I was wondering if anyone had any information about the horn. I think it is medium model as apposed to the monster model. Does anyone have one and know how they play?

I have a 1919 Holton Eb that looks practically identical to that. (Mine doesn't have the extra tuning slide, though.) I will say that mine has an incredibly sweet, buttery tone that I love more than on any other horn I've ever played besides my late teacher's Rusk-cut York CC. That said, the intonation is pretty damned atrocious...even for a 3-valve.
Still, though...that tone!!!
