I don't care for the new package either, but refilling the old bottle has worked for me so far. It's great oil. I haven't found anything that works as well.
I asked Joe Hetman about the packaging change, and he was't happy about it. Evidently, new laws require that all oils of a certain viscosity have to be in a child-proof package. Blame the lawyers and politicans.

I hate the new containers too. They take two hands to use, they leak, and they're too big.
From what I've heard, they are required by the government to package their product this way and that everyone else has just been getting away with it for so long that people have gotten used to those bottles.
I repackage mine to make it easier to use.

I also put the new oil in the old container. Not too difficult, the nipple pops off fairly easily.
I spoke with Joe Hetman a couple of months ago and he told me that he's heard a lot of complaints about the new bottle (eye-dropper pkg). He hopes to have an improved bottle similar to the old one... but with child-proof cap on it fairly soon.

Hetman's is good stuff. Too bad the bottles stink! I usually don't carry a large bottle of Hetman's with me because I prefer to put a small amount in one of those little bitty contact lens rewetting solution bottle. I suppose accidents can happen
...but if I'm stupid enough to squirt the stuff in my eye, I deserve a little pain
