This is just my opinion but...... the hirsbrunner is not a real euphonium. Its a small e-flat tuba. It plays wonderfully but it feels like a shotgun compared to a pistol. I love the sound of my besson but it plays like a bear. Im switching to the willson. Not too big but not too small either. Go with the sound. The hirsbrunner's sound is just too deep for me. Hope this helps.

Well, you could get the Hirsbrunner "Stealth" and nobody would care either way what you sound like...

Hirsbrunner makes the highest quality instuments available. My Yorkbrunner couldn't play any better. Years ago I played in the UCLA Wind Ensemble with a guy named Clark. He was a fantastic player and couldn't have sounded better on his Hirsbrunner Euphonium. I wonder whatever happened to him? I wish I could rember his first name. He did have a groovy slide pulling mechanism on his horn to keep the thing in tune, but if I remember correctly, he loved that horn.
