Which valve oil should I use with an acrylic mouthpiece?

Seriously, the acrylic or lexan mouthpieces are not reactive with valve oil. I take it you have a Kelly, because Kelly is the only company I know that makes a size 25.

I know only about polycarbonate mouthpieces, because I have one. This is an essentially synthetic material, and should be used with synthetic oils which, when they work their way out of the piston casing and accumulate in the tubing, will lead to a harder tone that supports the tonal characteristics of the polycarbonate. Where steel mouthpieces of course should use a dark, petroleum based oil.

And you were able to post that with a straight face? That is the best satire I have read in awhile. So...What should I use since I have a stainless cup with a lexan rim?

As I am able to read about tonal characteristics of mouthpiece materials with a straight face. At least, it seems to me - I am informed that sometimes my face assumes a distinctly skeptical appearance, when I'm not particularly aware of it.

short answer: no valve oil at all. Use Yamaha trombone slide snot instead of. It gives you silicone-smooth slurs and a fantastic ability to bend pitch on every fingering.
